Meeting was called to order by Michele Higginbotham at FCB in Jourdanton.  The blessing was offered by Tommy Hairston followed by the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance to the United States and Texas flags and the Four Way Test.   

17 members present   

Guest present:  Katie Schuchman 

            Treasury Report:  Balance is $8,925.16.  Finance Committee met and will present a budget. 

Old Business: 

Doc made a motion to approve the August 2, 2022.  Monica seconded and motion passed unanimously. 

New Business: 

Interact Club had t-shirts made. 

Several students showed interest in the Interact Club. 

August 30th Rotary Ann/Andy will be held at Peeler Ranch 

Homecoming Dinner on September 23rd.  Al, Pepper, Michele and Theresa are working on the details. 

JEF Homecoming Dance at the park on September 24th at the Jourdanton City Park 

St. Matthew’s Church picnic Sunday, September 25th 

Tommy made a motion to use Misc funds to pay $250 to sponsor a Jourdanton Football Game on KSAQ 102.3 FM.  Benita seconded the motion and it passed. Doc recused himself from the vote. 

Benita made a motion to increase our semi-annual dues to $70, with a second from Doc and it passed unanimously. 

Jim made a motion to approve the 22-23 budget with the change on the Misc item voted on earlier in this meeting, second made by Jack and it passed unanimously. 

Theresa will get counts for 8th grade and 3rd grade for Constitutions and Dictionaries.
