Meeting was called to order by Michele Higginbotham at FCB in Jourdanton.  The blessing was offered by Tommy Hairston followed by the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance to the United States and Texas flags and the Four Way Test.  

 

14 members present  

Guest present:  Cecily, Kasey, Christina, Allison, Brittany Shier

 

Treasury Report:  Make sure you submit your dues for January.

 

Old Business: 

  • Minutes were not submitted last week but the following were the topics:

    • Disaster Relief Fund for Ukrainians was mentioned

    • Committee will meet to discuss the Blood Drive offer from Tom Joseph

    • 20 Golf Teams; 36 teams is our goal

    • Goodie Bag items – please bring to today’s meeting

    • All sponsors (except ATM people) paid for golf tournament; $7,900

    • Program was David Pesek – Wagyu Beef

    • Other Guests:  Melissa and Sawyer Srp, Brittany Shier

New Business:

  • Michele gave an update on Sophia and her family living in Ukraine.

  • Thank you for lunch, Al.

  • Consideration of sponsoring Jourdanton Founders’ Day.

  • Golf tournament on March 27, 2022.

    • Phase 1:  Raffle ticket sales:  92 have been sold, 1 outstanding, and 7 held back for tournament 

    • Phase 2: Hole sponsors:  $7,900 collected.  

    • Phase 3:  Teams to participate: Goal is to get 36 two member teams to play golf.  Team information forms are available.  20+ teams are signed up at this time. 

  • Tommy and Shannon are working on the “Marshmallow Longest Drive”.  $5.00 per marshmallow.

  • May 21st, Jourdanton Founders Day, car show, kids activities, street dance, various vendors.

  • Keep thinking of anyone you might want to recruit for membership.

  • RYLA owes Rotary $1,000.  (Don’t forget)

CAST Children’s Alliance of South Texas – thank you to the work of this organization for the children in our community

Next Meeting:    Regular Meeting will be held at the First Commercial Bank on April 5, 2022. (NO MEETING ON 29th)
