Meeting was called to order by Michele Higginbotham at FCB in Jourdanton. The blessing was offered by Tommy Hairston followed by the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance to the United States and Texas flags and the Four Way Test.
15 members present
Guest present: Doc Williams, Brittney Schier
Treasury Report: Make sure you submit your dues for January.
Old Business:
- Golf Tournament Report – See attachment. Great work on the tournament.
- Joyce moved to approve the March 22, 2022 minutes as presented. Jim seconded and motion passed
unanimously.
New Business:
- Ronnie moved to accept the application for Ying to transfer to the Jourdanton Rotary Club, second was made by Jack, and the motion was approved from unanimously.
- $84 Post Office box charge every six months – we have six months to decide.
- Al moved to donate the $100 to Project Graduation, second was made by Tommy, and the motion passed unanimously.
- Monica moved to accept Theresa’s proposal for the club to match her donation of $250 to CAST, second by Benita, and the motion passed unanimously.
- Tommy moved we give $10,000 of the profit from the tournament to the Jourdanton Scholarship Fund, second was made by Jack, and the motion passed unanimously.
- Michelle will remain President and Theresa the Secretary for the 22-23 year.
- Thank you for lunch, Sandy & Joyce.
- Keep thinking of anyone you might want to recruit for membership.
- RYLA owes Rotary $1,000. (Don’t forget)
