  • Jim will lead the next meeting. He will also contact Father Isak to see if he would speak to the club at a meeting in the near future.
  • Thursday, July 27th, Dinosaur George will be on display at the American Legion Hall.  On July 22nd at 1:30 pm, there will be an awards ceremony at the ECC Café for the Summer Reading Program.
  • Czech Fest was well attended and thank you to Benita and Monica for the Sausage, Sauerkraut and cake from the festival as well as potato salad and green beans. Thank you to Jane for the peanut butter crunchies.
  • Chamber of Commerce tonight at 6:30 in the Community Center.
  • Ronnie moved that Jim Andrus be added, Shane Sillivent and Tim Forrest be deleted and Al Steinle and Conrad Srp remain on the FCB bank account as well as the church CD. Monica seconded and all approved.
  • Michele still needs to get more info on reading to the elementary students during the school year.
  • Jim spoke with Greg Seiler from Methodist Hospital South. They look forward to being able to extend the invitation for us to come again but can’t with the new variant. When/If we do go back, all agreed that meals would be pay on your own to be more accurate cost wise to the members and easier on the treasurer.
  • Bill mentioned that retired Army Lt Col Allen West, who is running for Texas Governor, will be attending a gathering sponsored by the Atascosa County Republican Party in September at the Pleasanton Community Center. More info to follow. Sponsorship opportunities will be made available.
  • Program schedule to start soon (maybe September?) Could have a meal schedule as well?

Cutter:   I remember that Katie drew a name and Al unofficially drew the joker after he/she chose the wrong card. Sorry! I’m not as good at this Secretary gig as Ms Theresa😅
